New Media ~ Media Services
- Media Center
The Media Center, located in McMurran 126, supports the multimedia needs of the University. For consultation on the use of multimedia material in the teaching-learning process, contact the Media Center staff.
- Equipment
The Media Center's audio-visual equipment pool is available for academic support to classrooms, labs, and lecture halls, as well as special events and student projects. Reservations are required for this service. Forty-eight hour phone notice or memo request is required. Please call the Media Center Service Desk (4-7136) to make your equipment reservations.
- Facilities
The Media center has a number of individual listening and viewing stations for patrons.
- Production
Equipment and facilities are available for the production of audio-visual materials. Faculty and students who furnish their own supplies can make graphic materials and duplicate non-copyrighted audio or video cassettes. Digital video production and editing capabilities are available to support instructional activities and student projects. Production plans must be made in consultation with the Media Center staff.
- Collections
The Media Center houses over 6000 videocassettes, CD's, DVD's, sound recordings, and other audio-visual materials. Holdings can be found on the library's online catalog.
